Feed Mixer Drives

Looking to create a perfect, total mixed ration (TMR) diet for your livestock? Our feed mixer drives are ready for the job. Auburn Gear offers both horizontal and vertical feed mixer drives.

Time to Optimize Your Feed Mixer’s Performance

The better your feed mixer performs, the more you can control the diet, health, labor costs, and production on your farm. Auburn Gear’s feed mixer drives are the highest quality drives for the animal feed industry. They’re designed, sourced, manufactured and assembled in our facility in North America, allowing us to use the highest quality components and materials while providing an industry leading lead time.

Why TMR?

On their own, cows and other livestock may not eat an optimal, balanced diet. Too often, they opt to dig into their favorite foods while ignoring other nutritious options. Not only does this impact the livestock’s health, but it also factors into their profitability. Certain diets increase milk production, which increases profits.

The TMR (total mixed ration) method ensures that each animal gets the exact right amount of nutrients in every meal. TMR requires an optimized feed mixer that blends the various grains and nutrients in a perfectly even way. This keeps the feed consistent among the animals, ensuring that one cow can’t snatch up all the grass while another gets only corn. Auburn Gear’s feed mixer drives allow your feed mixer to combine animal feed at an optimal level.

Feed Mixer Drive Solutions Designed to Perform

Models VM10, VM20, and VM30, as well as the HM10, HM20, and HM 30 utilize a ductile iron housing and planetary gearing, a one-piece alloy steel forged output drive shaft, coupled with a modular right angle gearbox.

Auburn Gear’s Horizontal and Vertical Feed Mixer Drives are designed with housing that utilizes integral oil channels, eliminating external plumbing that is prone to leakage and damage.

The planetary gearing provides quiet, smooth, and efficient operation along with the ability to transfer more power in a given space.

Tried, Tested, Trustworthy

  • Product validation using both in-house DVP&R and actual field acquired data
